The Court House Care Home Malvern

Trips, Treats and Fresh Air for our Wellbeing

November has been a lovely month full of creativity, good company, and moments to boost wellbeing here at Courthouse Care Home.

Our residents have enjoyed some lovely arts and crafts sessions, filling the home with colour, conversation, and laughter. These creative afternoons are always a highlight, giving everyone a chance to express themselves and take pride in their finished pieces.

We also made the most of a dry day to get out and about. A small group of residents headed to Barnards Green for a spot of shopping, followed by a snack in the cafe and a relaxing pub lunch.

These trips are more than just a fun day out, spending time outside, breathing in fresh air and enjoying a change of scenery, is incredibly beneficial for mental wellbeing. It lifts the spirits, reduces stress, and encourages social interaction, all while giving residents a sense of freedom and independence.

Watching our residents smile, chat, and enjoy the surroundings reminded us just how much even a simple outing can brighten the day.

Back in the home, our kitchen sessions have been a hit once again. This month we made mini cheesecakes from scratch, which were as much fun to make as they were to eat.

Sharing the finished treats together was a sweet end to the day and a lovely way to celebrate everyone’s efforts.

November has been full of small but meaningful moments, creativity, laughter, fresh air, and delicious food. These simple pleasures help us stay connected, active, and happy, and now we look forward to the festive celebrations ahead.
