Our summer fete raises over £1,000!

The sunshine certainly turned up for our much anticipated Summer Fete, this month, and so did our wonderful local community. Residents, families, friends and visitors came together for a fantastic day of fun, fundraising and entertainment, helping to raise more than £1,000 for our residents' fund.

The fete was filled with something for everyone to enjoy, including a bustling raffle, tombola, children's activities, hair braiding, cakes, sweets and refreshments, alongside fantastic prizes generously donated by local businesses. Visitors also enjoyed browsing beautiful artwork from Sofia May Art, while younger guests had great fun making the most of the water and sand play areas.

Events like these are only possible thanks to the dedication of our amazing team and volunteers. From arriving early to set everything up in the summer heat to supporting residents throughout the day and packing everything away afterwards, their hard work made the event a huge success. We would also like to thank everyone who attended and supported the fete. Your generosity will help us continue providing meaningful activities and experiences for our residents throughout the year.

The warm weather continued long after the fete, giving residents plenty of opportunities to enjoy the sunshine. Whether heading out on local trips, relaxing outdoors with an iced coffee or joining in with lively games afternoons, there was no shortage of reasons to get together and make the most of summer.

Food-themed activities also proved popular throughout the month and Tropical Fruit Day saw residents sampling a colourful selection of fresh delicacies and delicious smoothies, while National Hot Dog Day brought a fun filled UK vs USA quiz, complete with hot dogs for everyone to enjoy. Residents also had great fun creating their own refreshing mocktails, perfect for cooling down during the hotter days.

Adding to the fun was our Mad Hatter's Tea Party, which brought plenty of smiles as residents enjoyed an imaginative afternoon filled with tea, tasty treats and wonderful company. The themed event was another chance to bring everyone together and create more happy memories.

After such a successful July, we are already looking forward to everything August has in store.
