January at Court House: A Bright and Creative Start to the Year
January is a time to restart. After a hectic December, the pace at Court House has slowed just enough to allow residents to enjoy activities that bring joy, connection, and creativity, at a rhythm that feels just right for this time of year.
One highlight has been our messy play therapy sessions. Residents have been diving into a world of colour and creativity, experimenting with bright, vibrant paints and getting their hands, and sometimes even their faces, covered in fun. These sessions aren’t just playful; they stimulate the senses, encourage self-expression, and support emotional well-being.
Tables were filled with paints, stencils, and tools, allowing everyone to explore different textures, shapes, and patterns. Smiles and laughter were everywhere as residents tried new ideas and proudly shared their creations, bringing energy and life to the room.
Alongside messy play therapy, residents have enjoyed gentle exercises and meditation, arts and crafts, spa days, walks in the garden, quizzes, and birthday outings. Each activity is designed to foster engagement, well-being, and a sense of community.
January has started bright, colourful, and full of joy at Court House. We look forward to more creativity, laughter, and connection as the month continues.
